Australian Stumpy Tail Cattle Dog

But this stump-tailed cow hound isn't a robber like some other breed doppelgangers. For almost 50 years, the Australian Stumpy-Tail Cattle Dog has been a herding dog and a breed.

Brussels Griffon

The forest moon of Endor would suit these cuddly pals. Brussels Griffons are odd in more than just looks. Breeding Brussels Griffons is tough. Small babies typically need Caesarean sections.

Irish Wolfhound

A wolf! Ah, a horse. A strange dog breed? Irish Wolfhounds are huge and made our list. Irish Wolfhounds, the tallest dog breed, may stand 7ft tall on their hind legs. Taller than most men! Due to their size, Irish Wolfhounds make ideal security dogs and need lots of activity.

If noses were a competition, Catalburun dogs would win. Catalburun is one of three unusual dog breeds with split noses, along with the Pachon Navarro and Andean Tiger Hound.
