Small Charming City  in USA

Ann Arbor, MI

Lovely Starting our list with Ann Arbor is appropriate. Home to the University of Michigan, it has long been a center of higher education, technology, and progress. These characteristics are evident in the city's many annual events.

Annapolis, MD

Annapolis, Maryland's capital, is a scenic, green town. It is scattered across several creeks on the Severn River's estuary as it enters Chesapeake Bay. Congress met in Maryland State House, the oldest Capitol in the US, and Annapolis was temporarily the US capital from 1783 to 178.

Ashland, OR

Beautiful Ashland is a smaller city on this list. This is a great base for biking or exploring the neighboring mountains, especially in the summer. From late February to late October, Ashland's theaters host hundreds of performances for the Oregon Shakespeare Festival.

Asheville, NC

Asheville is a Southern jewel. Backdropped by the Blue Ridge Mountains, the city has outstanding architecture and culture. Street performance and folk music dominate Asheville's music scene, unlike Nashville in Tennessee.

Bellingham, WA

Bellingham, in the northwest of the US, has a water-based heritage. Bellingham was a major fishing and boatbuilding hub due to its abundant lumber supply. Tourism is a municipal mainstay, with a massive waterfront makeover underway.

Bloomington, IN

The massive Indiana University (IU) campus dominates Bloomington, Indiana. The site houses the Eskenazi Museum of Art and other music and arts institutes.
